Abhishek Banerjee Signals Defiance Amid Legal and Political Pressure
Abhishek Banerjee is a politician from the Trinamool Congress party.
He shared a close-up picture showing a scar on his face.
He wrote that the scar shows he has faced difficult things, but his eyes show he is not finished.
He has been involved in legal investigations and has faced restrictions on traveling abroad.
The Supreme Court allowed him to travel for medical treatment for his eye.
The West Bengal government opposed the trip because it was worried he might not return.
Banerjee has also faced attacks and protests during public visits.
The report says some disagreements inside his party have become stronger after an election loss.
Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee posted a scarred half-face portrait with the message, “The scar tells you I've been through something. The eyes tell you I'm nowhere done!”
The Supreme Court allowed the 38-year-old MP to travel abroad for three weeks for medical treatment related to an eye injury.
Banerjee has faced investigations, alleged attacks, office vandalism and restrictions linked to an alleged hate speech case.
