Indian MotoGP Race Dropped from 2026 Calendar
The Indian Grand Prix, a motorcycle racing event, won't be happening in 2026.
It was supposed to return after a previous cancellation due to money issues.
Although a deal was made with the government for the race to be held at the Buddh International Circuit, it was postponed to 2026.
However, it has since been removed from the 2026 calendar.
Meanwhile, the MotoGP season will feature a race in Brazil and has shifted the dates of other races.
The Indian Grand Prix has been dropped from the 2026 MotoGP provisional calendar.
Dorna had previously confirmed the championship's return to India in 2026.
The 2024 race was cancelled due to unpaid hosting fees from the promoter, Fairstreet Sports.
A 3-year contract was signed with the Uttar Pradesh Government after Fairstreet Sports was removed.
The 2026 season will include the Brazil Grand Prix and date changes for other races.
