Anantapur SP Proposes Village Stays Ahead of Local Polls
Local elections are coming up in Anantapur district.
Police chief P. Jagadish asked officers to prepare so voting can happen peacefully and fairly.
They should find villages where disagreements might cause trouble.
He suggested that officers spend the night in some of these villages.
They should talk with people and look for problems early.
Police can then try to stop small disputes from becoming bigger.
The officers were also told to keep a close watch on areas where trouble may occur.
Anantapur Superintendent of Police P. Jagadish directed officers to prepare for upcoming local body elections.
He issued instructions during a teleconference with district DSPs, inspectors and sub-inspectors on Wednesday.
