NBEMS Issues Revised Stipend Guidelines for Medical Trainees
Imagine you're a doctor in training.
The government has new rules about how much money you'll get.
Starting in June 2025, the amount you earn (your stipend) will be adjusted, to match what other government workers get.
Private and public hospitals have to pay at least a certain amount, and can pay more.
Also, the hospitals should give you a place to live if possible, without lowering your pay.
The NBEMS will periodically review the amounts based on the government's pay scales.
NBEMS has revised stipend guidelines for medical trainees.
The revised guidelines will be effective from June 1, 2025.
All private and government medical institutions must pay a basic stipend.
Stipend rates should be periodically revised to match state or central government guidelines.
Hospitals are encouraged to provide accommodation without reducing stipend.
