Centre Eases Norms for Deep-Tech Startups
The government has made it easier for special technology startups to get money.
Before, these startups had to show they could last for three years to get up to Rs 1 crore.
Now, they don't have to wait that long.
The minister said this will help these startups grow faster.
There are also other programs to help new startups that are just beginning.
This change was announced at a special event in New Delhi.
The Centre has relaxed the three-year viability criteria for deep-tech startups to avail financial assistance under the IRDPP.
Deep-tech startups can now receive up to Rs 1 crore without proving three years of sustainability.
The move aims to accelerate and sustain startups, providing early momentum to projects and innovators.
Startups will still need to meet evaluation standards linked to technological maturity.
The Rs 1 lakh crore RDI fund supports startups that have achieved a certain level of technological maturity.
