Rishabh Pant Retires Hurt After Wrist Blow, Cleared to Bat

Rishabh Pant was batting for India against Sri Lanka.

A fast bowler named Lahiru Kumara bowled a short ball toward him.

Pant tried to hit the ball, but it struck his left wrist or arm.

He immediately felt pain and received treatment from India’s medical staff.

They used an ice pack and tried taping the injured area.

Pant then left the field after scoring three runs from 15 balls.

Ravindra Jadeja replaced him as the next batter.

India’s batting coach later said Pant should be able to bat again on the second day, although the injury was initially not officially confirmed.
