Task Force Announced To Address Hinjawadi Traffic, Infrastructure Crisis

Hinjawadi has very crowded roads and not enough routes for people to enter and leave.

More than five lakh people travel there every day.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar has created a special team to help fix the problems.

The team will study roads, traffic, water, electricity, rubbish collection and metro connections.

A ₹426 crore plan has already been prepared for new infrastructure.

Officials may add security personnel and stop large trucks during the busiest hours.

They are also considering changing the hours when technology companies operate.

Some roads, drains, footpaths and streetlights are planned.

An employees’ group says similar promises were made before and is planning a protest.
