Supreme Court Takes Action Over Minor’s Bus Gang-Rape
The Supreme Court has started looking into the alleged gang-rape of a 16-year-old girl.
The incident allegedly happened inside a moving sleeper bus in Delhi-NCR.
The girl had boarded the bus in Greater Noida.
She was later abandoned near Kashmere Gate in Old Delhi.
The bus conductor and driver were arrested.
The court said authorities must do more to keep people safe in public places.
It mentioned problems such as poor lighting and weak surveillance.
The judges also said the case reminded them of the 2012 Nirbhaya case.
