India's Core Sectors Grow at 5% in June
India's nine core sectors grew by 5% in June, the highest in five months.
This growth was mainly because of iron ore, cement, and electricity.
Iron ore production increased a lot, by 43.9%, because of a low base from last year.
Cement and electricity also grew by 9.8%.
Poor rainfall helped iron ore and coal production.
However, some sectors like crude oil, natural gas, and fertilizers saw a decrease in production.
Experts think the overall industrial production growth might slow down a bit but still expect the economy to grow around 6% for the quarter.
