IIT Madras Partners with Applied Materials to Advance Semiconductor Research
Imagine a super-smart computer program called AppliedTwin that helps build tiny computer chips.
IIT Madras is teaming up with a company to use this program.
AppliedTwin lets students and researchers test out different ways of making chips without actually building them first, saving time and money.
This helps them learn how to make better chips.
More than 150 students and teachers already learned about it in a workshop.
The goal is for India to become a leader in making and designing these important chips.
IIT Madras partners with Applied Materials India for semiconductor research.
The AppliedTwin digital twin framework will be used.
A hands-on workshop on AppliedTwin was conducted at IIT Madras.
The goal is to strengthen India’s semiconductor R&D infrastructure.
Students can access the software through the IITM platform.
