Shah Urges Redefining Medical Ethics
India is working to create a complete health system that focuses on keeping people healthy and making healthcare available to everyone.
Amit Shah, the Home Minister, talked about this at a big doctor's meeting in Ahmedabad.
He said doctors are very important for India's future and that the government has started many programs to help people stay healthy.
These include cleanliness campaigns, sports events, yoga day, and a big health insurance scheme called Ayushman Bharat.
The Home Minister also praised doctors for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic and asked them to help spread the word about affordable medicines.
The Chief Minister also spoke, saying that India's hospitals and medical schools have improved a lot in the last ten years.
Many doctors attended this meeting, and a new leader for the Indian Medical Association was chosen.
Amit Shah also urged the IMA to redefine the ethics of the medical field to make it more contemporary and to include these ethics in medical education.
He believes this will increase the respect for doctors and their sense of duty to serve.
Amit Shah urged the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to redefine medical ethics to make them more contemporary.
Shah emphasized the importance of adopting 'wellness instead of illness' as the concept for the medical field.
