Students Protest for Basic School Facilities in Uttar Pradesh
In a small town in Uttar Pradesh, a group of school kids at Sarvodaya Inter College walked out of class and held a protest for five hours.
They wanted things like clean toilets, safe drinking water, working fans, a computer lab, a library, and a place to play sports.
The school’s principal said the school didn’t have enough money to fix everything right away, but promised to start fixing things in the next day.
A school inspector came to talk with the kids and promised the work would begin soon.
The kids said they would keep protesting if their demands were not met.
Hundreds of students at Sarvodaya Inter College in Kishanpur staged a five‑hour protest demanding basic school amenities.
Students cited lack of safe drinking water, clean toilets, reliable electricity, functional fans, furniture, a computer lab, library, and sports facilities.
The administration promised corrective work within 24 hours after the District Inspector of Schools intervened.
Principal Lal Bahadur Singh acknowledged limited funds and said improvements would be made within available resources.
