Ukraine Offers Strike Pause as U.S.-Russia Talks Continue

Ukraine says it is ready to temporarily stop air attacks on Moscow.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this pause would cover Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

He also said Ukraine expects Russia to do something similar for Kyiv.

U.S. representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

They are scheduled to travel to Kyiv to continue discussions.

Putin said Russia is willing to work with the United States on political and diplomatic solutions.

The talks also covered economic issues and possible projects between Russia and the United States.

Russia had already announced a three-day pause in strikes on Kyiv before the talks.

The negotiations are intended to support efforts toward a lasting peace agreement.
