NIA Arrests and Convicts in Terror Cases

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made significant progress in two separate terror-related cases.

In the first case, Yasir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Shopian in Srinagar, was arrested for his alleged role in the Delhi bomb blast that occurred on November 10, 2025.

The blast near the Red Fort in Delhi killed 13 people and injured several others.

Yasir is the ninth person to be arrested in this case.

He was in contact with the deceased perpetrator, Dr. Umar Un Nabi, and another accused, Mufti Irfan.

The NIA believes Yasir played a key role in the conspiracy behind the blast.

He has been remanded into NIA custody until December 26, 2025.

In the second case, the Special NIA Court at Patiala House Court in Delhi convicted Zahoor Ahmad Pir and Nazeer Ahmad Pir for providing shelter and logistics support to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Bahadur Ali.

The court found them guilty under sections 18, 19, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The matter has been listed for sentencing arguments on January 8, 2026.

The NIA is working with various state and central agencies to uncover the full conspiracy behind the Delhi blast.
