Jana Nayagan Misses Box Office Records
Jana Nayagan, a new film starring Vijay, had a good start but didn't break any major box office records.
It didn't make Rs 100 crore in its first day worldwide, which was less than Vijay's previous record.
It also didn't make the top five list for overseas openings for Tamil films.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's film still holds the top spot, showing how popular he is.
Jana Nayagan missed the Rs 100 crore worldwide opening mark by nearly Rs 20 crore.
It did not surpass Vijay's previous Day 1 worldwide record set by The Greatest Of All Time.
The film's overseas gross of Rs 30 crore did not make it to the top five biggest overseas openings for a Tamil film.
Rajinikanth's film retains the top spot in box office records.
