Meta CEO Zuckerberg Buys Historic Irish Castle Near River

Mark Zuckerberg, who leads Meta, bought an old castle in Ireland.

The castle is called Strancally Castle.

It was built around 1830 and looks over a river.

The building was renovated extensively in 2003.

It is about 200 kilometres from Meta’s European headquarters.

The price was not recorded in Ireland’s public property register.

A newspaper estimated that the castle could be worth €20 million to €30 million.

Zuckerberg’s family said they are excited to care for the historic home and spend time in Ireland.
