Income Tax and Registration Departments Coordinate on Data Governance
Income Tax officials and registration officers held a meeting in Mumbai.
More than 200 registration officers attended.
They discussed how to report property and other transaction information correctly.
The guidance included PAN details, transaction values and stamp values.
They also discussed a form called Form 165 under the Income Tax Act, 2025.

The Mumbai Income Tax Directorate and Stamp Duty and Registration Department held a Mega Outreach Programme at Prakashgad, Bandra (East).
More than 200 officers from Sub-Registrar Offices across Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban Districts participated.
Officials provided guidance on Statement of Financial Transaction reporting and Form 165 under the Income Tax Act, 2025.
Sessions focused on accurate PAN, transaction and stamp-value reporting, data validation and correcting errors.
The programme sought to improve coordination, support risk analysis and promote accurate, timely tax information reporting.
