India's GST Overhaul: Expert Calls Tax Reforms 'Timely'
The Indian government wants to simplify the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is a tax on goods and services.
They plan to change the current system with multiple tax rates.
Most items might have a tax rate of 5% or 18%, while some luxury items will have a higher rate of 40%.
Tax experts believe these changes are a good idea, as it will help make the tax system simpler.
