Even though many Indians use the internet, not as many shop online yet.
A recent report says that only about a quarter of the 850 million internet users in India buy things online.
This is different from places like the U.S. and China, where many more people shop online.
But, online shopping in India is getting bigger fast!
It is expected to grow a lot.
The report also talks about new kinds of online stores, like those that deliver super fast.
Growth will likely come from selling new things and from people in smaller cities who are making more money.
Only 20-25% of India's 850 million internet users shop online.
India's e-commerce sector is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
E-commerce currently accounts for 7-9% of India's retail sales.
E-commerce share is projected to reach 15-17% by 2030.
