Canada Upholds Internet Decision, Affecting Telecoms

Imagine big phone and internet companies building roads (fiber networks) for the internet.

The government said, "Hey, other companies can also use these roads!"

This is called sharing networks.

The big companies, like Rogers and BCE, weren't happy because they spent a lot of money on the roads.

They think this decision will stop them from building new and better internet services.

The government hopes this will lead to lower prices and better internet.

Another company, Telus, is happy because it can now offer internet in more places.

Some companies might challenge the decision in court.
