Ghaziabad Man Acquitted After 20 Years in Double Murder Case
Imagine someone was accused of doing something bad a long time ago, but they didn't have a lawyer.
After 20 years, a lawyer helped them show the court they were innocent.
The court agreed and said they didn't do it!
But, they still have to stay in jail because of another problem.
The lawyer found that the police made mistakes and didn't have strong evidence.
Because the person didn't have money, they couldn't hire a lawyer until a special program stepped in to help.
The program is called LADCS and gives free help to people who can't afford it.
Bheema Jatav was acquitted of a double murder after 20 years.
The case originated from a crime on October 11, 2003, near Noornagar.
Jatav was arrested and charged in 2004, but received legal aid much later.
The court found inconsistencies in the prosecution's evidence.
Jatav remains in jail in connection with another case.
