Madhya Pradesh to Establish R&D Centre in Ujjain for Astrophysics
Madhya Pradesh is setting up a special research center in Ujjain for studying space and stars.
Ujjain is famous for its old astronomy history.
The center will work with modern technology and use knowledge from the past.
The government will also launch a satellite called MP-SAT to help with farming, managing disasters, and other important tasks.
They will spend up to Rs 500 crore on this project.
Additionally, they plan to create a space park called Antariksh Vihar to inspire students and the public about space exploration.
The state government is also focusing on AI to improve society and governance.
They will set up AI data laboratories and work with startups and schools to make AI better.
The Chief Minister talked about how AI can help the state in many ways.
Madhya Pradesh is establishing an R&D Centre in Ujjain for astrophysics and space sciences in collaboration with IIT Indore or other national institutes.
The centre will focus on astrophysics, deep space observation, and satellite-based analytics, integrating traditional astronomical knowledge with modern space science.
The government plans to launch a dedicated satellite, MP-SAT, for state-specific data to support sectors like agriculture, disaster management, and urban planning.
Up to Rs 500 crore will be allocated for satellite development, launch services, and related infrastructure.
The policy aims to attract 30 space-tech startups, Rs 900 crore in investments, and create 2,000 highly skilled jobs within five years.
