Simple Guide to Growing Colocasia (Arbi) at Home
Growing arbi (also known as Colocasia) at home is simple.
First, find a spot with some shade.
Then, get healthy arbi roots from the market.
Soak them, and plant them in good soil.
Keep the soil moist and add natural plant food.
Watch out for bugs and yellow leaves.
After about four months, when the leaves start to turn yellow, you can dig up the roots.
Remember, cook the arbi before you eat it, and enjoy your home-grown food!
Arbi, or Colocasia, is a root vegetable that is easy to grow during the monsoon season.
It thrives in partly shady spots that receive morning sun and afternoon shade.
Healthy arbi corms, free from softness or mold, should be selected and soaked before planting.
The soil should be loose, well-drained, and enriched with compost or well-rotted cow dung.
Harvesting occurs approximately four to five months after planting, when the leaves turn yellow.
