SpiceJet Expands Fleet, Plans Significant Capacity Increase by November
SpiceJet, an airline, is getting more airplanes to fly.
They have added five new planes recently, making it ten new planes in total.
These include different types of Boeing planes and a big Airbus plane.
All these new planes are now flying passengers.
The airline wants to have double the number of planes flying and three times the number of seats available by the end of November.
This is because more people want to travel during the holidays and winter.
They are also making sure their old planes get fixed to fly again.
SpiceJet is also getting more money to help with these plans.
SpiceJet has added five more aircraft on damp lease, bringing the total new fleet additions to 10.
The newly inducted aircraft include a mix of Boeing 737s, an Airbus A340, and a reactivated Boeing 737 MAX.
All five new aircraft have started commercial operations, enhancing the airline's network.
SpiceJet plans to more than double its operational fleet and triple available seat kilometres by the end of November.
The airline also secured a $89.5 million liquidity infusion and has lease agreements for 18 additional Boeing 737s.
