Bommai Calls Horatti's Forced Resignation a Black Mark

Basavaraj Bommai used to be the Chief Minister, or leader, of a state in India called Karnataka.

He said the state's Congress government did something unfair.

A man named Basavaraj Horatti was the Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council, a group of leaders who help make laws.

Horatti had worked in public life for 46 years, which is a very long time.

Bommai said the government called Horatti to the Chief Minister's house and pressured him to resign.

He said the government accepted Horatti's resignation just five minutes later.

Bommai thinks this was a disrespectful way to treat someone in such an important position.

He called it a black mark in the history of the Legislative Council.

Bommai hopes Horatti will keep guiding young politicians with his experience.
