Youth Detained for Unauthorised Drone Flight Near Yogi Adityanath Event
A young man flew a drone near a big event where a very important leader named Yogi Adityanath was giving flowers to people walking in a religious journey called the Kanwar Yatra.
The drone was not allowed to be there, so the police got worried about safety.
Police made an announcement asking the person to bring the drone down.
Soon after that, the drone came down.
A special police team called the SWAT team found the person who was flying the drone.
They caught him and took the drone away.
The young man said he likes blogging and wanted to make videos of the event.
He said he did not know the rules about flying drones.
The police are checking his social media to learn more.
They will decide what happens next after their investigation.
A youth was detained in Meerut for flying an unauthorised drone near an event where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was showering flower petals on Kanwariyas.
The drone was spotted in the Modipuram area during the CM's programme, prompting an announcement over the public address system asking the operator to bring it down.
SSP Avinash Pandey said the unauthorised drone flew without permission, while a separate government-approved drone was operating with prior permission at the event.
The detained youth, a resident of the Medical police station area, said blogging was his hobby and he wanted to cover events such as the CM's programme and the Kanwar Yatra.
The youth claimed ignorance of drone regulations; police are scrutinising his social media profiles, and legal action will follow once the investigation is complete.
