Trump Confirms Backchannel Talks With Iran's IRGC, Demands Surrender

These talks are called backchannel talks because they are not the official, public meetings.

He said the Iranian negotiators are like good poker players, but he also said they are losing.

He told Iran to wave a white flag, which is a sign of giving up.

The United States is also blocking Iranian ships in a very important waterway called the Strait of Hormuz.

This blocking is called a blockade.

Trump thinks the blockade is working and hurting Iran.

Even though they are talking, Trump still wants Iran to surrender.

So the talks and the tough words are happening at the same time.
