Four-Time India Gold Medallist Drives Cab Amid Support Wait

Amardeep Kumar is an athlete from Ranchi who has won four international gold medals in throwball.

He started playing sports when he was 13 years old.

A local player trained him for free at a stadium.

Amardeep also helped his family sell vegetables after school.

Even after winning medals, he says he has not received the financial help or government job he requested.

He sometimes borrowed money to travel to competitions.

To repay those loans, he drives a cab and sells vegetables.

His family also works in vegetable sales and runs a fast-food stall.

Amardeep hopes authorities will recognize his achievements and provide support.
