CSK's Trade Plans Hit Snags with Rejected Washington Sundar Offer
Big cricket teams, like the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), sometimes swap players with other teams.
CSK wanted to get a player named Washington Sundar from the Gujarat Titans, but Gujarat Titans said no.
Meanwhile, CSK is close to trading away a star player, Ravindra Jadeja, to get Sanju Samson from the Rajasthan Royals.
This might leave CSK without some of their best Indian spin bowlers.
Washington Sundar has not played many games recently for his team.
In the IPL, teams don't have to accept a trade if they don't want to.
CSK might have trouble finding another good Indian spinner if they can't make a trade before the next player auction.
Gujarat Titans have reportedly rejected a trade offer from Chennai Super Kings for Washington Sundar.
CSK is reportedly close to finalizing a trade deal for Sanju Samson from Rajasthan Royals, with Ravindra Jadeja potentially being traded away.
CSK aimed to acquire Washington Sundar, who was born in Chennai, to fill the spin-bowling gap left by Ravichandran Ashwin's retirement.
With potential departures of Ashwin and Jadeja, CSK's spin options would include Noor Ahmad and Shreyas Gopal.
Player trades in the IPL require the agreement of both the player's current franchise and the player themselves.
