Amul Dairy Elects New Chairman, Vice-Chairman
Amul Dairy, a big milk company, just got new leaders.
The BJP party, which now has most of the votes, chose Shabhesinh Parmar as the new Chairman and Vijay Patel as the Vice-Chairman.
This happened a long time after the BJP won most of the votes in the dairy's elections.
Shabhesinh was a surprise pick because other people were expected to get the job.
The last Chairman, Ramsinh Parmar, had switched from the Congress party to the BJP a few years ago, which helped the BJP get more power in the dairy.
Shabhesinh Parmar elected as Chairman of Amul Dairy unopposed.
Vijay Patel elected as Vice-Chairman.
Election held 94 days after BJP secured majority in Amul Dairy polls.
Shabhesinh Parmar's selection surprised many, as other candidates were favored.
Former Chairman Ramsinh Parmar switched from Congress to BJP in 2017, weakening Congress's hold.
