Lake-Effect Snow Hits Ohio, Schools Closed
Ohio is experiencing a lot of snow due to lake-effect snow.
The National Weather Service says more snow is expected, making roads very slippery and dangerous.
Many schools have closed, and some areas have banned parking to help snow plows.
Some counties have declared snow emergencies, meaning people should stay off the roads unless it's really necessary.
The cold weather is also making it risky for people who might get stuck in their cars.
More snow is expected in the coming days.
Lake-effect snow warning in effect until 7 p.m. in Northeast Ohio, with 2–8 inches of snow expected.
Hazardous travel conditions with snow-covered roads and wind chills around zero degrees.
Dozens of school districts closed and parking bans issued in multiple counties.
Snow emergencies declared in Erie (Level 3), Huron and Lorain (Level 2), and Richland and Summit (Level 1) counties.
More storms expected to bring repeated rounds of snow and cold air into early next week.
