TGSPDCL Implements Advanced Pole-Mounted Transformers in Hyderabad
The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL) is setting up a new system to install transformers on tall poles in Hyderabad.
This system uses special poles that are 11 meters tall and can hold the transformer and all its equipment.
This makes the area around the transformer cleaner and safer.
It also makes it easier for workers to fix and check the transformers.
Right now, they are installing these transformers in 304 places in Hyderabad, and more than 100 are already working.
The company plans to use this system more in the future to make the power system better and safer.
TGSPDCL is implementing a Pole-Mounted Distribution Transformer (PMDT) system in Hyderabad.
The system reduces space requirements and improves safety and aesthetics around transformers.
Transformers are installed on 11-meter tall poles, with all equipment mounted on the same pole.
Over 100 transformers have been commissioned, with works underway at 304 locations in Greater Hyderabad.
The new system allows for easier maintenance and future connection to underground cables.
