South India sees steepest cement price drop in Q3FY26
In the third quarter of the financial year 2026, cement prices in South India have dropped significantly.
A company called PL Capital says this is because many infrastructure projects that were announced by the state governments have been delayed.
They think that the use of cement will slowly increase over the next three years, but not by much.
Right now, the use is at 61%, and they expect it to go up to 62% in three years.
Cement prices in South India have dropped significantly in Q3FY26.
PL Capital attributes this to delayed implementation of infrastructure projects.
Utilisation level in the region is currently at 61% in FY25.
PL Capital expects utilisation to gradually increase to 62% over the next three years.
The brokerage notes that many infrastructure projects have been announced but delayed.
