Court Permits Arvind Kejriwal to Renew Passport, with Conditions
Arvind Kejriwal, who used to be the boss of Delhi, can now get his passport renewed.
A special court gave him the go-ahead.
However, before he goes on any trips outside of India, he has to ask the court first.
His lawyer said that it was hard for him to travel.
This whole thing is happening because someone said he broke some rules during an election a long time ago.
Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi Chief Minister, was granted permission to renew his passport.
The permission was granted by a special MP/MLA court in Sultanpur.
The court has mandated that Kejriwal seek its approval before traveling abroad.
Kejriwal's counsel cited difficulties in international travel as the reason for the plea.
The case is related to alleged model code violations during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
