Delhi Police Intensifies Patrolling After Manipur Musician’s Killing
Delhi Police wants to make some neighborhoods safer.
These neighborhoods have many people from India’s Northeast.
Police officers were told to patrol more often, especially late at night.
The decision came after musician Chongtham Vikram Singh was killed.
Singh was 55 years old and lived in South Delhi.
Police said he was beaten outside his home after an argument about a group of men making a disturbance.
Senior officers met to discuss how to protect Northeast communities and students.
They also discussed the safety of Gorkhas from Darjeeling and Ladakhis living in Delhi.
