Indian Tech Workers Debate Shift From Salary Talk To Layoffs
A person on Reddit noticed that tech workers seem to talk less about big salaries and more about losing their jobs.
The post said workers are worried about layoffs, artificial intelligence, and fewer job openings.
It also claimed that finding a job can take many applications, and that referrals may help.
Some commenters agreed that the job market feels harder.
A few worried that AI could affect junior developers first.
Other commenters said layoffs get attention because they are upsetting, but many people still work in IT and companies continue to hire.
The article did not check whether the claims in the Reddit post were true.
The discussion shows that some tech workers feel less certain about their careers.
A Reddit post said conversations among Indian IT workers have shifted from salary packages, or LPA, toward layoffs and job security.
The post cited AI disruption, tougher hiring, and shrinking opportunities as reasons for concern, but its claims were not independently verified.
The author claimed applicants may need to send hundreds or thousands of applications to receive interview calls, while referrals can help.
Some commenters said junior developers could be among the first workers affected by AI, with other roles potentially affected later.
