Nintendo Hikes Switch Prices Due to Market Conditions
Nintendo is charging more for the original Switch game consoles due to things happening in the market, like tariffs (extra taxes).
The price of the Switch went up.
Nintendo is also making some accessories and the Alarmo Clock more expensive, but the new Switch 2 won't be more expensive (yet).
The Switch 2 is already doing well, selling millions of units since its launch, but Nintendo might need to change the price later.
This is different from the other game consoles from other companies, which have seen their prices go up.
Nintendo raised prices on the original Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED in the US.
The price increase is due to "market conditions" and tariffs.
The original Switch's price increased from $299 to $339.
Nintendo did not raise the price of the Switch 2 or its games.
Switch 2 sales reached 5.82 million units since its June 5 release.
