Seven Sisters' Lore Exhibited in India
An old Australian story about seven sisters who ran away from a bad guy is being told in India.
This story is shown using special paths called 'songlines' that connect places in the desert.
The exhibition has many artworks, music, dancing, and videos.
It shows a part of the world's oldest living culture, which has been around for over 65,000 years.
This special exhibit helps people understand the important stories and traditions of Indigenous Australians.
The ancient Australian tale of the Seven Sisters is showcased at Humayun’s Tomb Museum in India.
The exhibition, 'Songlines: Tracking the Seven Sisters', runs from November 22 to March 1.
It features nearly 300 paintings, objects, songs, dances, photography, and multimedia.
The showcase highlights five sections of the indigenous western and central desert songlines.
The exhibition is presented by The National Museum of Australia in partnership with the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.
