UAE Batter Asif Khan Handed 15-Month Ban After Doping Test

Asif Khan is a cricket player for the United Arab Emirates.

He tested positive for a substance that cricket’s anti-doping rules prohibit.

The substance was linked to mesterolone, a type of anabolic steroid.

The test happened away from a competition on September 8, 2025.

Asif admitted that he broke the anti-doping rule involved.

He and the ICC and WADA agreed that he would be banned for 15 months.

His results from September 8 until December 29, 2025, were cancelled.

He can train again from October 8 but cannot play competitive cricket until December 8.
