Thirty Families in Kantar Fear Census Exclusion From Records

Thirty Families in Kantar Fear Census Exclusion From Records

About 30 families in Kantar village say census workers did not visit their homes.

The census’s first phase took place from August 16 to August 31.

The families are worried that their names may not appear in government records.

They fear this could make it harder to receive government benefits.

Some also worry about their children’s future.

They are unsure whether the omission could affect electoral-roll inclusion.

The head of the local panchayat said the problem was caused by a misunderstanding between two enumerators.

He said the families would be counted soon.
