Swiggy and Meesho Report Q3 Financials
Swiggy and Meesho, two big companies in India, recently shared their financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2026.
Swiggy, which delivers food and other items quickly, reported a bigger loss of ₹1,065 crore compared to the same period last year, but their revenue grew by 54%.
This growth was mainly because more people are using their food delivery and quick commerce services.
Meesho, an e-commerce platform, also reported a wider net loss of ₹490 crore, but their revenue grew by 31%.
They also became free cash flow positive, meaning they have more cash coming in than going out.
Both companies are investing a lot in expanding their networks and attracting more customers, which is why they are experiencing losses despite revenue growth.
They expect things to improve in the next two quarters.
Swiggy reported a wider Q3 net loss of ₹1,065 crore, up from ₹799 crore in the same period last year, with revenue growing 54% to ₹6,148 crore.
Meesho reported a net loss of ₹490 crore in Q3, up from ₹37 crore in the same quarter last year, with revenue growing 31% to ₹3,517 crore.
Meesho's net merchandise value (NMV) grew 26% year-on-year to ₹10,995 crore, with annual transacting users increasing 34% to 251 million.
Both companies are investing heavily in expanding their networks and attracting more customers, leading to temporary inefficiencies and increased costs.
Both Swiggy and Meesho expect significant improvements in their financial performance in the next two quarters.
