Gold and Silver ETFs Reverse August Gains in September
Gold and silver ETFs let people invest in these metals without buying physical bars or coins.
Both types of funds lost money in September 2026.
Gold ETFs fell by about 4.7%, while silver ETFs fell by about 6.5%.
Silver fell more because the price of silver dropped more during the month.
The Wealth Company Gold ETF had the smallest decline among the listed gold ETFs.

This was a reversal from August, when all the listed ETFs gained more than 8%.
