Mumbai Port Floats ₹2,922 Crore Marina Development Tender

Mumbai Port Floats ₹2,922 Crore Marina Development Tender

Mumbai Port Authority has invited companies from around the world to bid on a large marina project.

The project is expected to cost ₹2,922 crore.

It would start with 424 berths where boats can be kept, and could grow to 696.

The marina would be built in protected water and on nearby land across from the Domestic Cruise Terminal.

Plans include places to service boats, a sailing school, and a marina club.

A five-star hotel and tourism business centre are also planned.

The selected company would help finance, build, run, and eventually transfer the project under a 45-year agreement.

The port authority says the marina is intended to support tourism and recreation in Mumbai harbour.
