BNP Factional Clash Leaves One Dead in Chittagong
There was a big fight between two groups of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Chittagong.
They were arguing over who should sit in a special chair during a prayer event for their leader, Khaleda Zia.
One young man named Gazi Tahmid Khan got very hurt and died later in the hospital.
Five other people were also hurt.
The police are looking into what happened.
This is not the first time this has happened in the BNP.
Last week, there was another fight in a different part of Bangladesh where 10 people got hurt.
Some people think the BNP might have helped a new government take over the old one.
A violent clash between BNP factions in Chittagong left one dead and five injured.
The fight occurred after a prayer program for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's recovery.
The deceased, Gazi Tahmid Khan, was stabbed and later died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident but no case has been filed yet.
This is part of a larger pattern of factional violence within the BNP, with a similar incident last week in Gazipur.
