Delhi Parks Get Movable Basketball Hoops, Hot Air Balloon Project Announced
Imagine Delhi's big parks are getting new fun things to do!
First, the government put up basketball hoops that can be moved around in places like Asita and Mehrauli Park, so people can play basketball.
It's like bringing a mini-game to the park!
They also announced a cool new plan to let people ride in hot air balloons over Delhi.
This will happen at places like the Yamuna Sports Complex and other green areas.
It's a way to see the city from high up like a bird!
The parks themselves are also being made more beautiful, like turning old dump sites into nice bamboo gardens and riverfront spaces.
All these ideas are to give people more ways to have fun and enjoy the outdoors in Delhi.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena announced the installation of movable basketball hoops in parks like Asita, Baansera, and Mehrauli Archaeological Park.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) aims to make recreation and fitness more accessible through these new sporting facilities.
The DDA is also planning a hot air balloon project to promote eco-tourism and offer aerial views of Delhi.
This hot air balloon project will be implemented at locations including Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games Sports Complex, Asita, and Baansera.
Previously undeveloped or waste sites have been transformed into recreational green spaces, such as the Baansera Bamboo Park and the rejuvenated Asita area along the Yamuna.
