Delhi Gold Prices Rise to ₹1.48 Lakh Amid Retail Buying
Gold in New Delhi went up to about 1.48 lakh rupees for 10 grams because more jewelers and retailers were buying it.
The price went up even though the rupee got a little stronger.
Silver fell a bit, going down to about 2.24 lakh rupees per kilogram.
In the world market, gold was around 4,070 US dollars per ounce and silver about 58 dollars per ounce.
Experts said the rise was helped by the US dollar easing after the Federal Reserve talked about interest rates and by higher oil prices.
Gold prices in Delhi climbed to ₹1.48 lakh per 10 grams, up ₹1,000 from the previous session.
The rise was driven by fresh buying from retailers and jewelers, despite a stronger rupee.
Silver prices fell to ₹2,24,700 per kilogram, down ₹600 from Wednesday.
International spot gold hovered around USD 4,070 per ounce, while silver traded near USD 58 per ounce.
Analysts linked the domestic rise to a pullback in the US dollar and global oil price movements.
