Remote Andhra Pradesh Village Celebrates Electricity Arrival
Imagine a small village way up on a hill where people never had lights at night.
They used candles and were scared of the dark, especially when someone got sick.
After many years of asking, the village finally got electricity!
Everyone was so happy, they danced and thanked the people who helped make it happen.
Now, they can see at night and don't have to worry as much.
They are still waiting for roads and drinking water, but getting electricity was a big step forward.
The Jeelugulowa village in Anakapalle district now has electricity for the first time.
The village, home to 50 people, previously relied on candles and faced challenges in the dark.
Electricity was provided under the Janman scheme.
Villagers celebrated with the traditional Dhimsa dance and expressed gratitude.
The village still awaits roads and drinking water.
