Gorakhpur Airport to Expand with New Terminal Building
Imagine a new, bigger building for the Gorakhpur Airport!
Right now, it has a small one, but they're building a much larger terminal.
The government signed an agreement to make this happen.
The new building will let many more planes land and take off, about 200 flights each day, compared to the current 26.
Also, a lot more people can pass through it, from 270 to 2,500 per hour.
The building will be built where the Air Force has land and it will be moved to construct it.
Gorakhpur Airport will get a new terminal building.
An MoU was signed between the Indian Air Force, AAI, and Gorakhpur district administration.
The upgraded facility will handle approximately 200 flights daily, up from 26.
Passenger handling capacity will increase from 270 to 2,500 per hour.
The new terminal will be built on 42 acres of land transferred from the Air Force.
