Madras High Court Reconsiders Jana Nayagan Censor Certificate
There's a big argument about a movie called Jana Nayagan.
The people who made the movie and the group that gives movies permission to be shown in theaters can't agree.
The movie was supposed to come out on January 9, but now it's stuck because of this fight.
The movie's star is Vijay Thalapathy, and it cost a lot of money to make.
The judges in the Madras High Court are trying to figure out what to do.
They listened to both sides on January 20 and will make a decision on January 27.
Everyone is waiting to see if the movie can finally come out.
The judges said the first judge should have given the movie board more time to respond.
The movie is special because it's said to be Vijay's last movie before he starts doing politics full-time.
The Madras High Court set aside a single judge's order directing the CBFC to grant a censor certificate to the film Jana Nayagan.
The court stated that the single judge should have given the CBFC time to file a counter-affidavit before making a decision.
The film's producer, KVN Productions, is allowed to approach the single judge for early disposal of the case.
The single judge is at liberty to decide whether the decision to refer the matter to the revising committee is correct.
The film is described as Vijay's last movie before his full-fledged entry into politics, adding significance to the certification dispute.
