BRS Leader Condemns Midnight Removal of Late MLA's Statue

BRS Leader Condemns Midnight Removal of Late MLA's Statue

A statue of a man named Peddireddy Sudarshan Reddy, who used to be a leader in the local government, was taken down in the middle of the night.

Many police officers were there while the statue was removed.

Another leader named Pochampally Srinivas Reddy said this was not fair and called it inhuman.

He said the statue was put up with support from the people and stood on private land.

He thinks the removal happened without telling anyone first, and that it was done for political revenge.

Police also arrested some supporters of the late leader, which upset Pochampally.

He asked the police to let those people go and not to file cases against them.

He promised that if his party, the BRS, wins power again, they will put the statue back near the medical college and honor the late leader in every village.

Many local people were sad and angry about what happened to the statue.
